Early Growth Financial Services provides finance, accounting, and corporate governance support to early stage companies. Our team is comprised of CFOs, Controllers and Senior Accountants. We provide everything from high-level strategic support to day-to-day management of a company's finance and administrative functions. This allows our clients to focus on their core business and reduce their cost structure. The majority of our clients are venture backed technology companies but we work with companies across a wide variety of different sectors and of different sizes. Our value proposition is strong, and we have a high close rate and retention rate in our existing markets.
Early stage technology companies/startups where the executive team would rather focus their attention on developing their business, and not focus on time consuming processes like taxes, finance and accounting. Yet these target companies still need strong, solid financial statements for their owners and investors. We are targeting the large entrepreneurial start-up market in the greater San Francisco Bay Area to continue building our outsource business.
Desired Candidate and Skills
The ideal candidate is someone who is connected and working with new, startup companies in the San Francisco Bay Area and one who would like to make abase salary along with commissions by selling our services. We are looking for someone with the ability to network with entrepreneurs, founders and startup folks at events and co-working locations. Building quality relationships with key service providers in order to generate referrals is a must. This individuals should have the ability to identify opportunities and close business.
Great people skills, professional, mature, excellent phone presence, and an ability to articulate our value proposition quickly. Many of our sales have been closed with only a few 30 minute calls followed by an in-person meeting with a CFO. Detail knowledge of accounting and finance is not a requirement -- you don't have to be the expert, you can bring in an expert CFO when you reach that point in the sales cycle if needed. The candidate will also be asked to prepare proposals and manage the sales pipeline updates.
Compensation will be comprised of a base salary along with commission. Commissions will be a generous percentage of the first year of revenue from each client that signs up for our services.
