Meet The VC: Vishal Lugani of Acrew Capital
Meet the VC is a monthly panel event hosted by Early Growth and its partners. Every month, we sit down with a VC to get answers to your questions about fundraising, investment thesis, the current investment climate and more.
There will be Q&A at the end of the interview, so get your questions ready!
This month’s speaker is Vishal Lugani of Acrew Capital.

He has led the firm’s investments in Finix Payments, Petabyte, and ProdPerfect, and works closely with the firm’s investments in At-Bay and Papaya Payments. Vishal also helps lead Acrew’s strategic partnership with Concrete Rose Capital, an early-stage fund that seeks to back underrepresented founders.
Previously, Vishal spent several years at Aspect Ventures, where he led the firm’s investments in Amino, Coinbase, Eden Health, Finix Payments, Shipwell, and Worklete. He also co-led or worked closely with Aspect’s investments in Astro (part of Slack), BaubleBar, Future Family, Hotel Tonight (part of Airbnb), Integris (part of One Trust), Papaya Payments, Pie Insurance, PredictHQ, Stem.is, and The RealReal (NASDAQ: REAL).
Prior to Aspect, Vishal spent several years at Greycroft Partners, a New York and Los Angeles based venture capital firm. During his time at Greycroft, he supported several portfolio companies, including: Acorns, App Annie, The RealReal, among others. Before Greycroft, Vishal worked at Bain & Company in the firm’s New York and Los Angeles offices and was involved in projects across the media, healthcare and technology sectors.
Vishal holds an AB in economics with honors from Harvard University. While in school, he first experienced the start-up world as a part of the team at Unithrive, a peer-to-peer lending platform. Thereafter, he launched his alma mater’s chapter of the Kairos Society, an organization supporting young entrepreneurs globally, and helped form the expansion strategy. At Kairos, he continues to be involved in an advisory capacity.
