Kirilova to Touch on Fundraising, Investment Thesis, Current Investment Climate and Trends

Palo Alto, CA – February 24, 2022 – Early Growth, a leading Essential Business Services (EBS) provider, announced today the speaker for its Meet the VC panel event to be held at 12 p.m. PT on Wednesday, March 9, 2022. Featured guest speaker will be Geri Kirilova, Managing Partner of Laconia Capital, a New York-based venture capital firm that leads pre-seed and seed rounds in B2B software companies that revolutionize legacy industries.

Meet the VC is a monthly panel event hosted by Early Growth and its partners. Every month, a prominent venture capitalist discusses their firm’s investment thesis, trends they’re seeing in the current investment climate, and more. It is an interview format hosted by Early Growth followed by a Q&A session with attendees at the end of the interview.

Kirilova is a Managing Partner at Laconia where she leads seed investments in business-to-business software companies. Prior to joining Laconia, Kirilova was a Business Associate at Techstars, where she facilitated program operations and worked directly with ten portfolio companies on customer acquisition, growth strategy, fundraising, business development, and messaging and storytelling. She began her venture capital career in Central and Eastern Europe at Launchub Ventures in Sofia, Bulgaria, and Credo Ventures in Prague. She is a graduate of New York University Stern School of Business and holds a BS in Business with specializations in Information Systems and Management.

Laconia leads pre-seed and seed rounds in b2b software companies that revolutionize legacy industries. The firm’s goal is to work closely with entrepreneurs and their lead investors to build sustained, scalable, competitive advantage by applying Laconia’s capital, experience, and professional network to their unique ideas and emerging businesses. Laconia invests in companies that leverage technology and crowd-sourced communities to disrupt the traditional structure of industries for increased consumer value and market reinvention. Laconia has specific expertise and interest in the Digital Media, Data Analytics, Mobile, Social, and Ad Technology sectors.
