Siegel to Touch on Fundraising, Investment Thesis, Current Investment Climate and Trends

  Palo Alto, CA – January 25, 2022 – Early Growth, leading Essential Business Services (EBS) provider, announced today the speaker for its Meet the VC panel event to be held at 12 p.m. PT on Wednesday, February 9, 2022. Featured guest speaker will be Joshua Siegel, General Partner of Acronym Venture Capital, a New York-based venture capital firm that invests in B2B SaaS and omni-channel consumer companies at the late seed and early series A stages.

Meet the VC is a monthly panel event hosted by Early Growth and its partners. Every month, a prominent venture capitalist discusses their firm’s investment thesis, trends they’re seeing in the current investment climate, and more. It is an interview format hosted by EarlyGrowth followed by a Q&A session with attendees at the end of the interview.

Siegel oversees the day-to-day activities and operations of Acronym, including evaluating early-stage technology and consumer companies seeking funding, assisting current portfolio companies with corporate development/revenue generation, attracting LP capital, and developing Acronym's professional network. He has extensive experience and connections in software, technology, real estate, luxury lifestyle brands, digital media, and CPG. Siegel was formerly the General Partner of Rubicon Venture Capital, a top performing U.S. VC, Director of Market Intelligence at Citicorp Debt Capital Markets, Manager Eastern European Banking Systems at Citibank and was with the Overseas Private Investment Corp (OPIC). In 2007, he became an active angel investor with interests in software and technology. Siegel has invested in such companies as Daily Harvest, Super Coffee, Easyknock, Nexhealth, Superhuman, Todaytix, Maestro, Easyship and Bespoke Post, to name a few. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Boston University, a Master of Business Administration from Georgetown University, and a degree in Gastronomy from ICE in New York.

Acronym invests in the late seed - series A rounds of enterprise/SMB SaaS fintech, hospitality tech, prop tech, workFlow tech and ecommerce infrastructure as well as omni channel consumer brands. Companies must be generating at least $1 million in annual reoccurring revenue with a known sales cycle. Acronym invests between $500-$750,000 in the late seed and $1-3 million in the A rounds. The firm can lead, co-lead or just participate.
